The area of Telgar dedicated solely to the Lord Holder and his family, it is mostly filled with various staff and workers. The Estate is surrounded by a short brick and rock wall, only knee high, but for all intents and purposes it might as well be miles high. Children often dare one another to run as far into the outlying yard as they can before they're spotted by a guard.

The main courtyard, and first entrance into the Hold. Telgar Hold is one of the largest Holds on Pern, counting a current population of approximately 130,000 within the Hold itself. The Great Courtyard is used for major events, such as Gathers and Parties, as well as the location where dragons can drop off riders.

The buildings of Telgar Weyr are spread out in a sprawling mess of little squares, some as high as three or four stories in the central areas, with other simple one story blocks on the outskirts. Many of the more central housing units consist of a small store on the bottom floor, and family housing on the upper floors. There are all assortments of business buildings around, as well.
